Play therapy is an approach to working with children that enhances their ability to process emotions. It is typically used with children ages 4-11, but can be useful with broader ages as well.
Play Therapy is important because children naturally communicate through play. Using your child’s communication style through play, encourages a positive relationship between the therapist and child, which enables your child to safely process feelings. Play allows your child to heal while improving the child’s communication and emotion regulation abilities.
